The Turfgrass Growers Association (TGA) was proud to be represented at GroundsFest 2025, held on 10–11 September at Stoneleigh Park, by TGA Chair Richard Owens.
GroundsFest once again proved to be a vibrant event for the grounds management, landscaping, and turfcare industries. Visitors enjoyed a mix of live machinery demonstrations, product launches, workshops, and networking opportunities, making it a key date in the sector’s calendar.
Richard’s attendance allowed the TGA to engage with colleagues across the industry, reinforcing the importance of high-quality natural turf and promoting the Association’s ongoing work. Recent initiatives include the landmark ban on plastic netting in turfgrass production by 2026, and strong representation on issues such as water bans, where the TGA has worked to ensure recognition of turf’s 28-day exemption (always check with your local water company) and the wider environmental benefits of natural grass.
The TGA continues to champion standards, sustainability, and the long-term future of the turfgrass industry. Membership provides growers and affiliates with a collective voice, access to vital industry updates, and the opportunity to shape the future of turf in the UK.
